The firm works with clients and prospective clients to develop flexible billing arrangements. Some of the billing structures that the firm has developed include:
- Fixed-fee agreements for discrete tasks within a representation;
- Success- or incentive-based fees to achieve a client's goals;
- Monthly retainers for day-to-day advice;
- Capped monthly fees against a retainer for monitoring; and
- Traditional hourly billing.
The firm does not charge for incidental expenses such as long distance telephone charges, intra-firm photocopying, and computer-assisted research (e.g., Westlaw®, Lexis®).
The firm does charge for third-party disbursements, such as out-of-town travel, outside photocopying, filing fees, and binding/printing costs.
