The course discusses Data Quality Act of 2000 and also earlier equitable theories under which the public can challenge the quality of data disseminated by the federal government. The course covers the following areas:
- Outlines the statutory and equitable theories that the public can use to challenge data disseminated by the federal government;
- Summarizes the regulatory guidelines that implement the Data Quality Act;
- Discusses the litigation and legislative activity on whether the Data Quality Act provides judicial review of agency decisions;
- Provides practical advise on challenging the the quality of data disseminated by the federal government.
